Miniature audio amplifier

A customer who required specialised analogue audio processing circuitry approached Zenetec to help design the audio processing circuitry within their battery powered unit. The design was required to consume very little power and to fit into a very small form factor. As this design had both analogue and digital circuitry the layout was critical to ensure that interference was passed inflicted from the digital to the analogue circuitry.

Only through a full understanding of the design trade offs and a thorough understanding of the layout interactions could the design be successfully accomplished.

A continuous review was required to ensure that the component selection and placement achieved the required electrical functionality and to ensure that the design was able to be accommodated in the very limited available space. Only through the use of the most modern component footprints could this be achieved. The use of Zenetec's proprietary high density prototyping hardware enabled a fully functioning prototype to be produced which was able to be tested to compare and contrast the performance against the simulated performance.

The result was a very low sized, low powered fully functioning design which was fully met the requirements despite their contradictory nature.
